Thanks for the compliment! I have fun dressing the kids. Poor Jason though, he's pretty much left to fend for himself these days.
Hats being the exception, I never buy outfits, just pieces, but it seems to usually come together by accident in the end. Matchy matchy gives me the hives. I tend to lean sassy or retro for girls, so there really is very little light pink. And if there is, it's punctuated with red, a fruit or vegetable pattern(my downfall), and/or polkadots. I can't tell you how many times I've picked up something cute and put it back simply beacuse it's pink. I have issues, issues, and more issues.
I estimate that 75%+ of her clothes are used. Excluding jammies, hats and socks it's more like 90%. I am just too anal about my likes and dislikes to be able to find much of anything new any given day for a price I'm willing to pay. (I'm a super cheap bastard.) In small sizes (and shopping way ahead) it's easy to find great stuff that's new with the tags still on or that looks washed but never worn. However, a lot of that is because I live in NM. The same used Gymboree dress that's $4.99 here is $13.50 up in Colorado and $17 in the Bay Area. They also mark Janie and Jack, Pumpkin Patch (whose quality totally seems to suck now that I have a girl, grrr), Tea Collection/Daily Tea, Hanna Andersson, etc as "no-name" brands LOL. I donate my less favorites back to the women's shelter when I'm done, and I consider it almost guilt free shopping.
(And to brag...best buy yet...brand new, with tags, 6-12 mos REI purple snowsuit...$2.99.) More than you wanted to know, right?
I narrowed it down to the pig or ladybug from Babystyle for Ollie, and Jason picked the ladybug because it's black. Figures. But it has red tulle, swoon, so I'm totally okay with it. It's going to be way too big though, as I bought 6-12mos. It just so happends she's at that inbetween stage.

You have the best clothes for Ollie! How do you get so many cute clothes that aren't pink!? We have a few, but you don't seem to own any pink at all!
I LOVE the picture of the two of them together!
Have you decided what Ollie is going to be for Halloween?
